Esomchi Foods wowed participants at the National Consultation Workshop on Food Systems Transformation in Nigeria.
A one-day workshop on the development of the national pathways to food systems transformation was held at Tahir Guest Palace Hotel in Kano State representing the Northern-Geopolitical Zone and Hilton Leisure Resort and Hotel in Awka representing the Southern-Geopolitical Zone on the 15th and 18th May, 2023 respectively.
During the technical session in both states, the program manager of Esomchi Foundation @ayoadefadoju made a presentation on how Esomchi Foundation is transforming the food systems to deliver healthy diets through a farm-to-table approach. During his presentation, he showcased the nutritious food products from Vitamin A Cassava, Vitamin A Maize, Orange Fleshed Sweet Potato (OFSP) and food-food fortification from Esomchi Foods. The attendees were thrilled with these products while most of them had a taste of them.
Dr. Sanjo Faniran who is the National Convenor for the United Nations Food Systems Transformation Implementation further highlighted the critical role Esomchi Foods plays in the Food Systems in Nigeria during his presentation.
Participants were drawn from line ministries, departments, agencies and non-governmental organizations from all states in the Northern-Geopolitical Zone and Southern-Geopolitical Zone.
