Stakeholder Dissemination of Information and Training on OFSP Production
We are pleased, pumped and most of all, grateful to share about our Stakeholder Dissemination of Information and Training on Orange Fleshed Sweet Potato production and marketing event held at Faculty of Arts & Management Theatre Hall, Gombe State University, Gombe State on Saturday, 2nd December, 2023.
The Orange Fleshed Sweet Potato for Nutrition and Income project has been a collaborative effort between us and USAID-funded Nigeria Feed the Future Rural Resilience Activity (RRA), and its successful completion is a testament to the dedication, hard work, support from various stakeholders.
To this end, this event was put together to celebrate the achievements of the project, highlight key milestones, and express our gratitude to all those who played a crucial role in its success. The event included speeches from key project stakeholders, a presentation on the project outcomes, and an opportunity for networking and discussions.
Present at the event were the Honourable Commissioner for Agriculture, Gombe State, Honourable Commissioner of Industry, Trade and Investment, Gombe State, The President, Chamber of Commerce, Gombe State, State Coordinator, NAFDAC Gombe State, State Coordinator, SON, Gombe State, State Manager, SMEDAN, Gombe State, State Coordinator, NEPC, Gombe State and other distinguished personalities. They all spoke highly of the impact of the project in Northeast Nigeria. They also encouraged the participants to scale up the initiative and sustain it in their communities.
All participants had a tea break of OFSP drink and OFSP doughnut and were treated to a buffet made of OFSP delicacies – OFSP stew, OFSP porridge, OFSP African Salad including rice.
