We recognize rice fortification as one of the best cost-effective interventions and a sustainable and safe way to address micronutrient deficiency in Nigeria. On this basis, we were invited by TechnoServe Nigeria in collaboration with Buhler Nigeria, Partners in Food Solutions and dsm-firmenich to a seminar themed “Promoting Healthy Nutrition: The Impact of Rice Fortification on Food Security”. The event was held on the 7th of December 2023 at Amani Event Centre, No. 3 Tamandu Road, Nasarawa GRA, Kano.

The seminar was loaded with informative keynote speeches, panel sessions, and demonstrations from the team of experts from TechnoServe, Bühler Group, Partners in Food Solutions and dsm-firmenich We had a great time understanding more about micronutrient deficiency and a deep knowledge of rice fortification process.

We had first hand experience eating fortified rice as lunch.
